Supported Living Services

Sevacare has a number of dedicated Supported Living Services across the country supporting people with a range of needs. Our services are tailored individually to support people to live a full and valued life within their community. Our support services are creative and innovative, aimed at giving people the opportunities they deserve.

Sevacare have the experience, skills and expertise to enable people with:

  • Learning Difficulties
  • Profound and Complex Needs Autism
  • Dual Diagnosis (including Mental Health Needs)
  • Sensory Needs (No sight/hearing)
  • Communication Needs
  • Physical Disabilities

Person Centred Approach

Sevacare recognises that no two people are the same. We deliver person centred, flexible care tailored to each individual’s needs. Our personalised care and support plans are developed in partnership with the individual, their family/friends and any other relevant circle of support the individual wishes to involve. Our person-centred approach ethos puts the Individual at the centre of the service, giving them choice and control over their support, with the long term goal of achieving their chosen outcomes.

Communication

Sevacare believes communication is an essential tool in every person-centred care and support plan. Our Support Workers are skilled individuals, trained in a number of communication techniques to ensure whatever the individual’s requirements, Sevacare can meet them.

Appropriately Skilled and Experienced Support Workers

Sevacare will meet each Individuals needs through the provision of appropriately skilled and experienced Support Workers. We will match our Support Workers to Individuals, taking into account our Support Workers skills and abilities and the Individuals needs and preferences. We believe the following considerations to be of importance:

  • specialised methods of communication including foreign languages
  • spoken and non-verbal communication techniques
  • training in specific skills, for example, complex moving and handling techniques
  • gender
  • cultural / ethnic / religious background
  • personality
  • temperament
  • age
  • Interests and knowledge

  • Supporting people to find somewhere to live
  • Enabling people to become a tenant of their own home
  • Assisting people to tidy their home
  • Assisting people with shopping and cooking
  • Supporting people to manage their own money
  • Supporting people to make new friends
  • Supporting people to go to college or gain new qualifications
  • Supporting people to find a job
  • Helping people gain support from their local community
  • Helping people to keep in touch with family or friends
  • Supporting people to keep yourself safe
  • Enabling people to travel wherever they would like to go
