December 2011
Sevacare is pleased to announce its most recent contract award from Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council to provide Home Care services in a specific zone within the town. Following an extensive tendering process, Sevacare has been awarded to deliver care and support services in Wentworth South to a number of service users including the frail elderly and adults with a range of physical and learning disabilities.
The news of the latest contract win accompaniments Sevacare’s considerable presence in Yorkshire and Humberside, with established branches in Bradford and Kirklees delivering a combined total of over 4,000 hours of care and support per week. The award from Rotherham shall see Sevacare deliver over 2,000 hours per week, taking the Yorkshire and Humberside total up to 6,000 hours. The contract win will also develop Sevacare’s services further within the neighbouring local authority area of Doncaster, following the recent contract win earlier this year.
Sevacare’s latest appointment, Debbie Dennis, Care Services Director (East), will oversee the contract implementation including the development of a new branch in the heart of Rotherham.
Sevacare’s Chief Executive, Roger Booker, commented “We are delighted to be expanding and developing our services in Yorkshire and Humberside. The contract win in Rotherham should see some 2,200 hours of care and support being delivered across Wentworth South and will also gives us the opportunity to expand our services into the neighbouring town of Doncaster. It has been a remarkable year for Sevacare and we look forward to an even better 2012.”
The new contract will begin in April 2012 following a transitional period from the Council.
