Sevacare Successful in Reablement Contract in Walsall

Sevacare is delighted to announce the recent contract award from Walsall Council to provide a Home from Hospital Community Reablement Service. The newly established service, starting in March 2012, is funded by the Department of Health to provide a ‘home from hospital’ discharge service to ensure that patients experience a safe transition from hospital and are supported to remain at home and reduce delayed discharge from hospital and readmission.
The contract award follows a previous contract win in November 2011 for a similar service with Birmingham City Council.
The new contract will be led by Care Services Director (Midlands), Jenny Pitt, and run from the established West Bromwich office, which currently provides over 5,500 hours per week in Birmingham, Sandwell and Walsall.
Speaking about the new contract win Sevacare’s Chief Executive, Roger Booker, commented “We are thrilled with the new win from Walsall Council. Our Emergency Discharge Service in Birmingham has demonstrated Sevacare’s expertise and skill in this specialist area. Sevacare has the capacity and staff skills to deliver this crucial service in Walsall and we look forward to beginning the contract in March.”
